Vehicle Break-ins:

The Peterborough Police Service is urging citizens to report any suspicious persons to police following several break-ins to vehicles parked in public parking lots.

Around 6 p.m. on April 3, 2018 the complainant parked his vehicle in an Aylmer Street parking lot and returned to it a short time later to find the rear driver’s side window smashed out. Once inside the vehicle the unknown person(s) had stolen a gym bag and a laptop bag containing a laptop. Total value of the theft is estimated at $2,000.

At approximately 6:45 p.m. on April 3, 2018 the complainant parked his vehicle in the Morrow parking lot. When he returned to his vehicle at approximately 7:45 p.m. he found the driver’s side window smashed out. Stolen from the complainant’s vehicle was a black purse.

At approximately 8:20 p.m. also on April 3, 2018 the complainant parked her vehicle in a Chemong Road parking lot and returned to it around 8:50 p.m. to find the rear driver’s side window smashed out. The suspect(s) had stolen a knapsack containing personal items along with an Ipad and cash.

Please keep an eye out for suspicious persons in your neighbourhood or while you are walking through a parking lot and report any suspicious persons or activity to police.
