The Peterborough Police Service is asking anyone with information to come forward in an assault investigation involving a young child.
On Monday July 6, 2020 at approximately 9:50 p.m. an unknown male attended a Crawford Drive residence and assaulted a young child that was outside the residence at the time. The suspect was chased off and was last seen running on Barbara Crescent. The incident was later reported to police and officers are currently investigating. The child did not require medical attention.
The suspect has a limited description of:
- Male
- Medium build
- 5’10
- 180-220lbs
- Wearing a black hooded sweater, black pants, black shoes
There is no evidence at this time to suggest this was an attempted abduction. There is also no evidence of any attempt abductions in any other area of the City at this time. This incident is being treated as an assault and is being treated as a standalone incident.
