On August 7th, 2020 around 10:55 am, members of the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a call regarding an armed robbery in progress at the CIBC branch located in Cramahe Township. A male had entered into the premises armed with what appeared to be a hand gun, and took an undisclosed amount of money as well as a necklace, and fled in a vehicle waiting outside the bank, driven by an accomplice. The accomplice is described as a black male and is believed to have remained in the vehicle.
During the robbery, two of the employees at the bank received minor injuries as a result of the suspect pushing and grabbing them. Northumberland paramedics attended the scene to assess and treat the victims.

- Black male, between 20-30 years of age.
- Approximately 145-150 lbs
- 5’9″ in height
- Athletic build
- Short curly hair
- Dressed in baggy black pants and a black long sleeve shirt, white framed sunglasses, with white Nike shoes (suspect may have changed into a white shirt after the occurrence)
The vehicle is described as:
- 4 door Toyota sedan
- Grey in colour
