Sometime between 11:15 p.m. on October 28, 2016 and 8:30 a.m. on October 29, 2016 unknown persons entered an SUV parked in the driveway of a Norwood Terrace home. Once inside the unlocked vehicle the person(s) used the remote door opener to enter the victim’s garage. The person(s) were then able to gain entry into the home through an unlocked door inside the garage that leads into the home. The residents were home at the time of the incident.
During the incident a small amount of change was stolen from inside the vehicle while personal I.D, banking cards and money was stolen from a purse inside the home.
In order to help prevent a break and enter the Peterborough Police Service reminds residents to keep their vehicles, garage doors, windows and doors into their homes locked. Everyone has a role to play in crime prevention.
