Cyclist Injured in Fail to Remain

Members of the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a fail to remain collision that sent a cyclist to the hospital.

On Sunday March 6th, 2022 at approximately 10:23 a.m., police received information that a cyclist had been struck by a vehicle on County Rd 30, north of County Rd 29 near the municipal border of Brighton and Trent Hills. The vehicle failed to remain at the scene of the collision.

The Northumberland OPP is asking for the public’s assistance with this ongoing investigation and would ask that anyone with information to call their nearest OPP detachment at 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call the Peterborough/Northumberland Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) where you may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000 and not have to appear in court.
