(ALNWICK-HALDIMAND TOWNSHIP, ON) – Members from the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently investigating the theft of three firearms and fishing gear that were stolen from a cottage on the 3rd Line in the village of Roseneath.
Between July 15, 2019 at 8:00 pm and July 16, 2019 at 10:30 am, unknown suspect(s) forced entry into the cottage and stole three long guns, three fishing rods and a tackle box. The firearms are described as :
• Two – Remington 870 Wingmaster pump action shotguns (wood in colour)
• Marlin .22 MAGNUM lever-action rifle (black in colour)
The initials “GMR” are carved into the grip of each firearm, and the fishing rods are described at spinning rods.
