The Peterborough Police Service continues to receive information about frauds and scams in the community.

Officers are investigating after a business owner reported suspicious credit card purchases being made for about $4000 worth of product.

In another case, a resident was scammed out over $9000 when they were informed their computer had been compromised.  The resident was asked to send money in bitcoin to fix the problem.

Frauds can be reported to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre and if you are victim, please call 705-876-1122 or fill out a report online.
