Theft from Vehicles:
The Peterborough Police Service is reminding the community to lock-it-or-lose-it following thefts from unlocked vehicles.
On March 20, 2020 at approximately 11:30 p.m. officers were dispatched to the area of Downie Street and Chesterfield Avenue after receiving a report that an unknown male had just entered the complainant’s unlocked vehicle and taken items including medication and sunglasses.
Sometime between 4 p.m. on March 18, 2020 and 8:30 a.m. on March 19, 2020 unknown persons entered an unlocked vehicle parked at a Brock Street residence stealing a laptop.
Between 8:30 a.m. on March 15, 2020 and 6:30 a.m. on March 16, 2020 thieves broke into an unlocked vehicle parked at a Scollard Crescent residence stealing a tablet, several cheques and a GPS.
We also remind residents to be aware of suspicious persons in their neighbourhood and to report any suspicious persons to police.
