NORTHUMBERLAND OPP INVESTIGATING TWO-VEHICLE COLLISION IN TRENT HILLS

The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a two-vehicle collision that occurred at an intersection in the Municipality of Trent Hills.

On August 3, 2024, at approximately 3:45 p.m., members of the Northumberland OPP, Fire, and EMS responded to a two-vehicle collision on Country Road 25 at Concession Road 8. Four individuals were involved in the collision.

Two of the individuals, a driver and a passenger, were initially transported to the hospital in critical condition. Later, one of them was reported to have life-threatening injuries and was subsequently airlifted to a trauma centre by Air ORNGE. Currently, both individuals’ injuries are considered non-life threatening.

Traffic was redirected in the surrounding areas while the OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team attended the scene. The road was reopened by 10:30 p.m. on August 3, 2024.
