The Peterborough Police Service continues to investigate following a shooting in the area of Edison Avenue.
On Tuesday July 9, 2019 at approximately 11:30 p.m. officers were dispatched to the area of Edison Avenue for a shooting.
It was reported that two unknown males had attended outside an Edison Avenue residence where an altercation occurred. During the incident a woman was assaulted and a male sustained a gunshot wound. Following the incident the two suspects fled the area. Both victims were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The male suspects are described as follows:
Suspect #1:
* Caucasian
* Male
* Approximately 6’2”
* Thin build
* Wearing a grey hoodie and grey track pants
Suspect #2
* Caucasian
* Male
* Approximately 5’9” to 5’10”
* Also wearing a hoodie
The area was initially closed off for the investigation but has since re-opened. Police are no longer on scene but the investigation continues. This appears to be an isolated incident.
