OPP LOOKING FOR ASSISTANCE IN THEFT INVESTIGATION

Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individual(s) responsible for the theft of an enclosed trailer from Asphodel-Norwood Township.

On December 4, 2023, OPP officers received a call where the complainant stated their trailer, a fully enclosed trailer wrapped in white with ‘themediaworks.ca” and “Creative Signage Experts”, had been taken from their locked enclosure. Staff arrived at the work location that day to find the chain and lock that secure the gate had been removed and the trailer was missing.

On December 2,2023, just prior to midnight a dark coloured truck was observed at the location on County Road 45, it backed up to the trailer and then leaves northbound on County Road 45 with the trailer. No descriptions have been provided of the individual(s).

The trailer is a 2017 silver trailer which had the Ontario licence plate S4435P. The trailer is wrapped with their business logos. The value of the trailer is approximately $15,000.

Investigators are actively looking for information that may lead to the identification of the suspect(s) involved in this theft. If you were in the area during that time frame and have any information that may assist with this investigation and help us get this property returned to the rightful owners, we want to hear from you.
