OPP LOOKING FOR ASSISTANCE IN THEFT INVESTIGATIONS

Members of the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are asking for the public’s assistance regarding incidents of theft from persons.

On September 10, 2024, a complainant reported the theft of a purse containing Canadian currency while in a commercial premises on Elizabeth Street in Brighton.

On October 9, 2024, police received a report of a theft regarding a wallet that had been stolen from a customer at the same location.

The OPP believe the same two individuals are involved in both incidents. Officers are looking to identify two females sought in connection and are releasing images of the individuals along with the passenger vehicle used to leave the area.
