OPP SEEKING PUBLIC ASSISTANCE IN SHOPLIFT INVESTIGATION

The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a theft from a shop and is asking for the public’s help.

On December 12, 2025, police received a report of a power tool stolen from a commercial business on Oliphant Street in the Municipality of Brighton.

The complainant advised that the theft occurred at approximately 9:30 a.m. that morning and the drill was valued at approximately $200. One individual distracted staff while the other left with the item.

Police are seeking to identify these individuals and are releasing images.
