(PORT HOPE, ON) – Police are investigating after a 71-year-old cyclist was struck in a fail to remain motor vehicle collision in the Municipality of Port Hope.
On November 5, 2022, at approximately 9:40 a.m., members from the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended the scene of a fail to remain collision on County Rd 2, west of County Rd 65, in the Municipality of Port Hope, where a cyclist was stuck by a motor vehicle.
As a result of the collision, the cyclist was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
Police believe the vehicle involved may be a Dodge / Ram pickup truck that will have obvious damage to the passenger side mirror.
