The Peterborough Police Service is investigating following a Thursday afternoon robbery in the area of Simcoe Street.
On November 21, 2019 at approximately 1:20 p.m. the female victim in her late 30’s was walking southbound behind the alleyway off of Simcoe Street when she was approached by an unknown male walking northbound who asked for a cigarette. When the victim agreed and attempted to hand the male the cigarette the male pulled the victim’s toque and hood over her face and robbed her of her cigarettes and wallet containing cash.
The incident was reported to police and officers are investigating.
