Robbery in Colborne

On August 22, 2016 at 10:00pm the Northumberland detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a robbery that had occurred at the Mr. Convenience store on Toronto Street in Colborne.

The ensuing investigation revealed that a lone male wearing a white mask entered the store and showed the clerk what appeared to be the butt of a handgun tucked in his waistband. A demand for money was made and the clerk complied.  The suspect then fled the store on foot.  The clerk was uninjured.

The OPP Canine Unit and Emergency Response Team (ERT) conducted a search of the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

The suspect is described as a male, Caucasian, 6 0” (183cm), thin build, wearing ripped blue jeans with holes in the knees, a black ‘ECKO’ sweater with hood over a red shirt and blue running shoes with white soles.
