The Peterborough Police Service is investigating following a Tuesday morning robbery.

On October 31, 2017 at approximately 10 a.m. the male victim was walking in the area of George Street and Parkhill Road when he was approached by the male suspect asking if he wanted to purchase an item of winter clothing. When the male took out his wallet to pay for the item the suspect assaulted the victim and stole his wallet. Police were called and officers were dispatched to the area. EMS also attended to provide treatment to the victim’s injuries, which appear minor in nature.

The suspect is described as follows:

  • Male
  • Medium black skin tone
  • 5’11” to 6’0
  • Thin build
  • Short black hair
  • No facial hair
  • Approximately 20 to 30 years old
  • Accent
  • Wearing black and green jacket, black pants, black baseball cap and a black backpack
