On September 28, 2019 at 6:30 pm police responded to the area of Aylmer and Wolfe Street regarding a stabbing. Upon arrival EMS were treating one person for a stab wound to their back.
The victim was treated at the scene and transported to hospital in serious condition. Through investigation police discovered the victim was walking on the train tracks just west of George Street. The victim was approached by suspect(s) and became involved in a verbal argument that turned physical.
During the altercation the victim was punched in the face and stabbed once in the back. The suspect(s) fled the scene on foot. The victim walked from the train tracks to Aylmer and Wolfe where he was assisted by two witnesses.
The victim is being treated for the stab wound and injuries to the left eye. Police are continuing to investigating this incident and are seeking the public assistance. If anyone has information regarding this incident please contact police at 705-876-1122 or
