Stolen Boat and Trailer

Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individual(s) responsible for the theft of a boat and trailer in Selwyn Township.

On October 21, 2023, OPP officers received a call where the complainant stated their boat and trailer that were parked at the Selwyn Conservation area, had been stolen. The complainant advised that the boat and trailer had been left in the conservation area parking lot while they travelled into Peterborough to run errands. The boat and trailer were left at approximately noon on Saturday October 21, 2023, and the owners returned at approximately 5:00pm on the same date to find them gone. The trailer had a lock attached to it which was cut and discarded.

The boat it described as a 2018 Yamaha A195, 19.5 feet in length with the Hull number ON6384272 and is valued at approximately $54,000.

The trailer is a 2018 black and silver Shor model F3A trailer which had the Ontario licence plate R705V. The value of the trailer is approximately $2,500.

Investigators are actively looking for information that may lead to the identification of the suspect(s) involved in this theft. If you were in the area during that time frame and have any information that may assist with this investigation and help us get this property returned to the rightful owners, we want to hear from you.
